Healthy diet can make a difference to health of the elderly

What a difference diet can make to older people (and therefore their friends and family around them).  With our population ageing – in the US alone tripling from 4 million in 2000 to 14 million in 2040 – the importance of this group of people staying healthy is becoming more important.

A good diet can delay and even prevent illnesses. They also have differing requirements to younger people, for example more Vitamin B6, D and calcium are required.

This realisation brings with it a few challenges:The first challenge is realising that something can be done with diet and the second challenge actually doing it?

Aging and Nutrition can have a great effect on the health of older people
